NMC names new vice president of quality and medical staff services

Northwestern Medical Center is pleased to announce that Diane Leach has accepted the position of Vice President of Quality and Medical Staff Services at the hospital.

Leach most recently worked at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington as the Nursing Director for Critical Care and Emergency Services. Leach had 30 years of experience at FAHC, beginning her career as a nurse and spending eight of her years in the Quality Department.

Leach oversees the Quality program at Northwestern Medical Center as well as Environmental Services, Hospitality Services, Medical Staff Coordination and the Cancer Program.

“Diane comes with great experience and is a wonderful addition to our high-performing leadership team. From the first day she started, she created a positive momentum to further develop our quality program with a priority of standardization of protocols and systems across our organization,” said NMC CEO Jill Berry Bowen.

Leach brings with her a passion for data-driven decision making and an interest in Lean methodology. She said she is eager to hone NMC’s already strong quality indicators, patient satisfaction numbers and exceptional-care focus.
