Tim McGuire, PE, joins VHB in Vermont as senior project manager for land development services

VHB, a planning, transportation, land development, and environmental services firm, welcomes Tim McGuire, PE, as Senior Project Manager for Land Development Services in its North Ferrisburg office. McGuire’s 20 years of planning, design, entitlement, and construction management experience, will advance VHB’s land development practice in Vermont, providing clients with a broader array of services.

Tim has in-depth knowledge of the Vermont resort industry, most recently serving as Vice President & General Manager at Burke Mountain Ski Area in East Burke. He has managed development, planning, engineering, facility operations, and construction projects at multiple resorts, including ski operations, hotels/inns, food and beverage outlets, commercial properties, and undeveloped properties.

“This is an exciting opportunity to expand upon our strong environmental and transportation capabilities in the region and begin building a robust land development practice to provide our clients with a broader array of engineering services,” explains Office Manager Mark Colgan. “We’re focused on our clients and helping them to meet their needs and drive Vermont’s future.”

In addition to his work in the resort industry, Tim has led the successful entitlement efforts of a number of large, high profile, projects in the region. Tim spent several years as a consulting engineer for multiple firms throughout Massachusetts, and is an adjunct professor at Lyndon State College in Lyndonville.

McGuire said, “I’ve collaborated with VHB staff throughout the years on numerous projects and environmental permitting efforts as a client at Burke Mountain and was always impressed with their dedication to technical quality and client service. I’m happy to be part of VHB’s growing team in Vermont.”

McGuire earned his MS in Environmental Engineering and his BS in Civil Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Massachusetts.
