Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB) welcomes Marla Keene to the Vermont office as a water resources engineer

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB) announces that Marla Keene has relocated from its Watertown, MA office to the Vermont office, where she will continue her work as a water resources engineer.

Ms. Keene has worked for VHB for the past five years, most recently as part of the Water Resources Team, working with hydrologic and hydraulic models including SWMM, HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS in addition to StormCAD and HydroCAD, as well being involved with associated research, field explorations, permitting and construction plans. Prior to joining VHB, she worked with Tetra Tech’s Framingham, MA office on the water/wastewater team, primarily in groundwater discharge design and permitting for privately owned wastewater treatment plants.

With a BS in Civil Engineering and MS in Environmental Engineering from Northeastern University, Ms. Keene is a MA certified soil evaluator and is interested in groundwater hydrology. She has worked on projects from Virginia to New Hampshire and is excited to assist the Vermont team with projects here.

Ms. Keene will work to further enhance the firm’s growing Vermont office and its focus on water resources and land development projects. She is already assisting with several large-scale projects, including the Town of Middlebury Main Street/Merchants Row Bridges and the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail.

Ms. Keene lives in North Ferrisburgh and is an avid outdoor enthusiast who looks forward to taking advantage of all that Vermont has to offer.
