VITL appoints ehealth systems specialist

Vermont Information Technology Leaders (VITL) today announced the appointment of Ann Guilmette as eHealth systems specialist. In this role, Guilmette will interact with medical organizations to assist providers with implementing electronic health records (EHR) and achieving meaningful use incentives, in addition to educating practices to fulfill Vermont’s patient consent program requirements and to improve data quality for enhanced patient care.

With 20 years of experience in the health care industry, Guilmette most recently worked at Primary Care Health Partners where she served as electronic health record (EHR) implementation manager overseeing the coordination and implementation of an EHR system for nine health centers. In addition, Guilmette has previously served as office manager with Evergreen Family Health and as account manager for Kaiser Permanente. She resides in South Hero.

Vermont Information Technology Leaders, Inc. (VITL) is a non-profit organization that assists Vermont health care providers statewide with adopting and using health information technology to improve the quality of care delivery as well as to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
