Hickok & Boardman HR Intelligence (formerly Hickok & Boardman Group Benefits) is pleased to announce its recent hire of Brenda Sabin as its Director of HR Compliance and Support Services.
According to Bob Crews, Principal at Hickok & Boardman HR Intelligence, “The accumulation of employment laws coming out of Washington and State legislatures across the country has made it increasingly difficult for employers to maintain compliance. Compounding the burden for employers are thousands of pages of regulations emanating from the Affordable Care Act and our own State’s unique Health Care Reform Agenda. Brenda is a key addition to the team of professionals and resources we have assembled to assist our clients in facing these challenges and she will be overseeing the expansion of services in this area.”
Sabin comes to Hickok & Boardman with over 24 years of Human Resources expertise in benefits, payroll, regulatory compliance, and best practice procedures in HR administration. She has taught Benefit Management Classes through VT Technical College for HR administrators and was a workshop leader for National Seminars and Padgett Thompson; teaching the complexities of payroll administration and management. In addition, she worked as a Benefits Educator for Total Benefits Communications. She was an online instructor for Champlain College’s Human Resource Workshops. Sabin is a Dale Carnegie graduate as well as a graduate assistant leader. She earned her Certified Benefits Professional Certification (CBP) through the WorldatWork organization in 1999. Sabin also graduated from Woodbury College in 1986 with a Paralegal Certificate in law research.
