Munroe and Schweizer of MMIC meet with members of Veterans Affairs at conference

On August 6-8, 2013 MMIC participated in the National Veterans Small Business Conference held at America’s Center Convention Plaza in St. Louis, Missouri. VP of Sales & Marketing, Mark Munroe, and Regional Sales Manager, Paul Schweizer, had the opportunity to meet with many Veterans Affairs Procurement Decision Makers. MMIC has deployed mobile on-site surgical, endoscopic and sterile processing services to VA medical centers around the country. The GSA schedule provides a contracting vehicle to lease or purchase mobile units. MMIC is proud of the $360 million savings attributable to its mobile solution during the recently completed Miami VAMC Operating Room renovation project. The latest addition to MMIC’s product line, the Mobile Central Sterile Processing Unit™, is a revolutionary solution to renovation and capacity situations in a hospitals sterile processing department.

On August 8, 2013, MMIC attended the first annual Vermont Chamber Aerospace and Aviation Trade Show held at the Burlington International Airport. Marketing Coordinator, Mary Jane Miller, noted there were 50 exhibitors specializing in aerospace manufacturing and several hundred attendees. Many who stopped by the MMIC booth wanted an update on the ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital. MMIC was awarded the contract to design and manufacture the interior modules for the 3rd generation ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital (FEH). With a volunteer crew, the FEH flies missions around the world training doctors and nurses while treating and curing blindness and other eye diseases. When complete, these uniquely designed modules will be transported to the West Coast for integration into ORBIS’ MD-10 aircraft.
