Lutheran Social Services of New England (LSS) proudly announces that Dana Ramish has joined the company as chief operating officer and executive vice president.
Ramish has held senior leadership roles in several hospitals and health systems, and most recently served as CEO of a senior living community in Boston. Ramish received his Bachelor of Arts from Kalamazoo College and a Master of Management degree from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
“I’m accustomed to functioning in a complex organization that has a lot of moving parts, a lot of people and a lot of different roles,” says Ramish. “But my connection with an organization’s mission is also very important,” he continues. “LSS is a perfect place for me because it combines my career needs and goals with my personal values and beliefs – I am excited to be part of a team that will use innovation to become a difference maker in the lives of the people we serve.”
Ramish is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives since 1990. He currently serves on the board of LeadingAge Massachusetts.
LSS is the parent organization of Good News Garage, the car donation program founded in Burlington in 1996. Since its founding, Good News Garage has expanded into all six New England states and has provided reliable transportation for thousands of low income people.
LSS goes beyond our traditional mission “to serve and care for people in need.” We help people reach their highest potential and achieve self-sufficiency.
LSS traces its roots back to 1872 and the opening of the Martin Luther Orphans’ Home in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. Today, LSS improves the lives of children, youth and families; adults with developmental disabilities, mental illness and deafness; economically disadvantaged families; refugees and immigrants; and older adults through more than 60 programs throughout New England. LSS serves and cares for people regardless of background or belief.
