Amy Poirier was named a Vice President of Vermont Mechanical, Inc. Amy has been with the company since 1998 and has led Operations Department for the past 7 years. She has been in the industry for 27 years and prior to that served 6 years of active duty in the USAF and 6 years with VT Air National Guard.
Blaine Conner joins Vermont Mechanical's Engineering Department as an HVAC Designer to work on design-build projects and to provide a wide range of technical support for the firm's commercial and institutional construction projects. His new responsibilities include analysis, design, 2D and 3D CAD modeling and customer support. Blaine attended Vermont Technical College's (VTC) 4 year program with a dual major in Architectural Engineering Technology and Sustainable Design and Technology.
John Plankey, P.E, has joined the company's Engineering Department as Sr. Mechanical Engineer. John will lead HVAC and plumbing design work in support of the firm's commercial and institutional construction projects. John is responsible for detailed design development and team leadership. He brings extensive experience in the field including full analysis and CAD skills. John has worked in the building sciences in this region since receiving his BSME from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1995. He was recognized by the State of Vermont as a Professional Engineer in 2012.
Craig Butkus has returned to Vermont Mechanical, Inc. as Senior Project Manager. He has worked in the Operations Department of Vermont Mechanical previously and held various positions in the organization. Craig brings a variety of management, sales and business development expertise to VMI, including many years working in the public safety sector.
