David Silverman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Union Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexandra MacLean to the Bank’s St. Johnsbury Advisory Board. MacLean is the founder of a strategic communications business, ASM Strategies. She is the Program Manager for the Northeast Kingdom Economic Development Initiative, a $600 million program designed to bring economic opportunities for Vermonters in northern Vermont.
Prior to ASM Strategies, MacLean was Deputy Chief of Staff and Secretary of Civil and Military Affairs to the Shumlin administration. She also served as the Governor’s Campaign Manger for both the 2010 and 2012 campaigns.
A native Vermonter, MacLean attended St. Johnsbury Academy and the University of Edinburgh in Scotland where she received her Masters of History in 2005. MacLean has devoted her studies and career to improving the lives of Vermonters.
The St. Johnsbury Advisory Board is one of three that together cover the Bank’s service area. Members of the Boards act as ambassadors for the Bank, have lending authority, represent the Bank at community functions and provide insight to the management team.
