Mark Chaffee of Mortgage Financial, Inc. has been named one of the nation’s top 150 mortgage originators for 2012 according to mortgage industry trade magazines Scotsman Guide and Mortgage Executive.
Chaffee, who was ranked 134th in the nation, was the only Vermont mortgage professional who made the list. In 2012 Chaffee closed 385 mortgage loans for a total of $92,305,000 in closed volume.
“It was a great year for refinancing, with interest rates at an all time low,” said Chaffee. “It felt great to help Vermonters save hundreds of thousands of dollars in interest payments.”
Chaffee, a Vermont native, has served as Vice President of Mortgage Financial since 1993. He was named one of the top 50 mortgage originators nationwide (number of closed loans) in 2009 and 2010 by Scotsman Guide and Origination News.
Chaffee was a founding member of the Vermont Mortgage Banker’s Association.
