Merchants Bank appoints Erika Baldasaro as community banking manager for Burlington locations

Kelley Jordick, Community Banking Division Manager at Merchants Bank, announced the appointment of Erika Baldasaro as Community Banking Manager for the College Street and North Avenue, Burlington locations.

Baldasaro comes to Merchants from Opportunities Credit Union of Burlington and Winooski, where she worked for the past seven years. At the credit union, she served as Senior Manager of Member Services and Lending, and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer. In this role, she worked to rebuild the mortgage department and was able to increase production significantly. She also remodeled branch activities to increase efficiency, sales and customer service, among other duties.

“Erika has a deep knowledge of finance and banking, and an impressive history of accomplishment,” Jordick said. “She is an enthusiastic manager and we are excited to have her join our Burlington teams.”

A native of Brunswick, Maine, Baldasaro has 16 years experience in banking, including positions as branch manager and assistant branch manager at banks in Connecticut and Maine. She started her banking career while in high school, working for a supermarket branch of the former People’s Heritage Bank (now TD Bank). Outside of work, she stays busy spending time with her two children, ages 4 years and 4 months.

As Community Banking Manager, Baldasaro is responsible for the operation of the two Burlington branches, including customer service, lending, business development, staff development and community relations.
