Merchants Bank welcomes new government banker

Anita Bourgeois, Vice President of Cash Management & Government Banking, announced an addition to the Government Banking Group: Hope Crifo has joined as a Municipal Lender in the Barre office.

Crifo brings extensive government banking credit experience and a keen understanding of government accounting to her new position. She comes to Merchants from TD Bank, where she worked as a Relationship Manager and Commercial Loan Officer, focusing on the needs of non-profit, government and commercial accounts. Prior to that, she was a Fixed Income Analyst, Investment Adviser and Vice President at KDP Investment Advisers, Inc. in Montpelier, Vt.

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Snelling Leadership Institute graduate, Crifo received her bachelor’s degree in political science and economics, and a master’s in economics. She has a professional certificate in accounting from Champlain College.

Crifo is an active community volunteer, serving on the board of Community Capital of Vermont, volunteering with Everybody Wins! Vermont, and serving as a long-term care ombudsman through Vermont Legal Aid. An avid backcountry skier andoutdoor enthusiast, she skis on the Bolton Valley Nordic Ski Patrol.
