Patricia Venti was recently named Director of Advancement at Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home. Visitation at the historic Lincoln site in Manchester, experienced an 18% increase in admissions in 2012 so she joins the Hildene team at a time of unprecedented growth. Given this environment, Venti will dedicate her time to advancement with a focus on development and constituent relations and a goal of growing membership as well as annual and corporate giving. She is well suited to the task having served previously as Director of Development for Southwestern Vermont Health Care in Bennington.
Venti earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in psychology from Hamilton College in 1984. She is also certified by the prestigious Joran Institute, known in the corporate community for its expertise in professionals’ training in the areas of organization assessment, benchmarking, strategy consulting and program deployment with a goal of overall performance improvement. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
A Bennington resident for more than two decades, Hildene’s new Director of Advancement has a clear commitment to community, serving currently as a trustee of Bennington Free Public Library and on the Board of Directors of the Bennington Area Chamber of Commerce. Her volunteerism has extended to such well known regional events as Garlic Fest, Mayfest, the Bennington Car Show and the Shires Marathon. Venti, known to her friends and business associates as PJ, is an avowed life- long learner with a penchant for cooking, skiing and hiking.
Hildene, built in 1905 by presidential son and captain of industry, Robert Lincoln, was home to 3 generations of Lincoln descendants for 70 years. President Lincoln put his values into action and changed the course of history. Hildene is making a difference both by setting an example and by bringing those Lincolnesque values into the twenty first century guided by their mission Values into Action.
