CCTV Center for Media & Democracy announces new staff

CCTV Center for Media & Democracy announces that Matt Kelly will join the organization as Director of Channel 17/ Town Meeting Television and Executive Producer of CCTV Productions.

Kelly grew up in Burlington and worked at WVNY TV-22, WEZF-93FM and WXXX-95Triple X, he returns to Chittenden County after stints in New York and Los Angeles where he consulted on content creation and social media for California Fuel Cell Partnership, Hybridfest, Green Drive Expo-Bay Area and HybridCars.com and PluginCars.com.

Early in his career Kelly was the lead producer for This Week in Vermont, in partnership with the Vermont Department of Tourism. He's also served as Vice President for Weber Shandwick, Los Angeles Bureau Chief for PodTech.net and as Project Manager for Medialink Worldwide, now Synaptic Digital.

CCTV Executive Director Lauren-Glenn Davitian added: “We are thrilled! Along with his passion for sustainability, Matt brings a wide range of video and management skills that will help civic leaders, nonprofits and activists expand their reach and impact.”

Matt Kelly will manage Channel 17 operations and special projects and also oversee CCTV Production's award-winning event production, web streaming and video documentary work.
