The Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties announced the appointment of two new members to the VNA Honorary Board.
Gretchen Morse of Charlotte is a natural ambassador for VNA services. Morse led the United Way of Chittenden County for twenty years and among her many accomplishments, raised over $70 million during the annual community campaigns. Before joining the United Way, Morse was Secretary of the Vermont Agency of Human Services from 1985-1991 and a Vermont State Representative from 1977-1985.
Delight Wing, MD, of Jericho is a pediatrician that has demonstrated great commitment to the VNA. Wing has volunteered since the 1970’s for the VNA’s Family and Children’s Services Division. Wing served on the original Family and Children’s Services Professional Advisory Committee, performed audits on medical records, and attended staff meetings to answer questions and act as a resource. She now splits her time between Vermont and Haiti.
The VNA is a 106-year-old non-profit home health and hospice agency caring for people of all ages – from critically ill children to vulnerable families to adults who need rehabilitation, care for chronic illness, adult day services or end-of-life care. The VNA provides medically-necessary home and community-based care to individuals and families regardless of their ability to pay. The VNA serves over 5,000 individuals and families in Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties each year.
