Beth Pearce for Treasurer announces new campaign manager, communications director

State Treasurer Beth Pearce has announced that Ryan Emerson, former manager of Donovan for Attorney General, will be taking the lead as her new campaign manager. Dylan Giambatista has also been brought on as the Communications Director.

Beth Pearce, the 2-year incumbent, is optimistic about the new additions. “I’m excited to have them on board. These are two people who will bring a lot of energy to the race. Regardless of any predictions, we’re not taking anything for granted, and we’re going to run a strong campaign on all fronts from now until November.”

Emerson, a native of Newbury, is excited to take the reins. “This could be the most competitive statewide race of the cycle. We’re looking at two very different approaches to governing from two very different candidates. On one hand we have Beth Pearce, a consummate professional with nearly 35 years of experience in state and municipal finance. She has an extraordinary track record within the Vermont Treasury, especially with the work she has done to help our towns in times of need. On the other hand, our opponent believes that cutting retirement benefits for teachers and continuing a failed health care system are the solutions.”

“This campaign looks forward to a healthy debate,” Emerson continued. “We’re going to engage with Vermonters on a grassroots level to spread the word about Beth’s work, and to talk about the issues facing our state. She is clearly the best qualified candidate for the job of State Treasurer.”

Dylan Giambatista, a native of Wallingford, is also looking forward to a campaign about the issues. “The office of Treasurer needs to be led by a professional, not a politician, and Beth is clearly the best person to fill the role. Vermonters deserve a competent, professional State Treasurer with a track record of non-partisanship who gets the tough work done. Beth has done an incredible job as our Treasurer, and we need her to continue.”
