People’s United Bank has announced that Sylvia MacKinnon has been appointed as the new corporate retirement services manager for Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont. She will also continue in her role as the senior vice president and regional manager for Wealth Management in Vermont.
MacKinnon joined People’s United Bank in 1989, and has served in various capacities including positions in Loan Resolution, Private Banking and Wealth Management. In 2005, MacKinnon relocated to New Hampshire where she established the People’s United Bank Wealth Management Division. MacKinnon worked in New Hampshire for the Bank until 2008, when she returned to Vermont to head up its Wealth Management Division, consisting of Private Banking and Wealth Management.
Prior to joining People’s United Bank, MacKinnon worked for Chase Manhattan in Singapore, Hong Kong and New York. At Chase, she held management positions in the global asset sales, international capital markets and credit divisions.
MacKinnon currently serves on the Fletcher Allen Health Care Foundation Board in Burlington.
