Vermont Chamber 2012 Hospitality Award winners announced

The Vermont Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of four annual Vermont Chamber Hospitality Awards:

Borden E. Avery Innkeeper of the Year: Mark Avery, Lake Morey Resort, Fairlee

Chef of the Year: Chef Zachary Reid,Brown’s Market Bistro, Groton

Restaurateurs of the Year: Doug Mack & Linda Harmon, Mary’s Restaurant at the Inn at Baldwin Creek, Bristol

Allied Member of the Year: Bill Ackerman, Vermont Country Store, Weston and Rockingham

These individuals, recognized for their exceptional dedication and commitment to high standards in Vermont’s tourism industry, will be honored at the Vermont Chamber Hospitality Gala on September 12, 2012. A premier social evening celebrating Vermont’s tourism economy, the sixth annual Hospitality Gala will be held aboard the Spirit of Ethan Allen III.

“We celebrate the achievements of these industry leaders in recognition of their contribution to Vermont’s iconic brand and the state economy,” stated Vermont Chamber Senior Vice President, Vicky Tebbetts. “In presenting the Gala, together we acknowledge these winners as stand-out achievers within the industry, and presenting an evening where leaders will convene, converse, celebrate, and relax.”
