VtSBDC announces selection of Debra Boudrieau and Deb Eibner as STATE STARS

Vermont Small Business Development Center (VtSBDC) State Director, Lenae Quillen-Blume, announced that Debra Boudrieau and Deb Eibner have been selected as the 2012 State Stars of Vermont Small Business Development Center.

“I am pleased to make this announcement, and to recognize Debra and Deb for extraordinary contributions to our organization, especially in their disaster response work related to Tropical Storm Irene. Debra is the Area Business Advisor for Windham and Southern Windsor Counties and Deb is the Area Business Advisor for Orange and Northern Windsor Counties. The regions they cover were hit hard and they have both shown incredible commitment and compassion to the affected businesses as they rebuild, re-open and get back on their feet.”

Debra and Deb were nominated by their peers, with one saying “The Debs provided extraordinary service to businesses impacted by the flooding after Irene. They worked countless hours to meet the immediate needs of the people in their areas. They exemplify the professionalism and dedication that is characteristic of VtSBDC.”

Debra Boudrieau said, “I am deeply grateful to receive this award and to have been nominated by my peers. VtSBDC is a wonderful organization and the opportunity to work with such a creative group of people as the staff at VtSBDC and the entrepreneurs of Vermont is exciting and means a great deal to me. But the real honor is the daily privilege of working with Vermont businesses. It has been an inspiration to work with them as they have faced the challenges of recovering from Irene.”

Deb Eibner said, “I am humbled by and grateful for this honor. The perseverance and determination to rebuild shown by the business people I have the privilege of working with makes them the true stars. The level of progress achieved would not have been possible without the hard work , support and resources of the entire VtSBDC team and our partners in the community and the Vermont state and federal government. Vermont is a supportive and caring place to do business and I am truly fortunate to be able to work with such dedicated professionals.”

Debra and Deb will be recognized for this honor at the national ASBDC conference in New Orleans, LA in September.
