Governor Shumlin presents international award to Vermont innkeepers

Virgin Holidays, part of Sir Richard Branson’s world-renowned Virgin Travel Group, has named the Green Mountain Inn ‘Best Hotel – Snow’ at the annual World Travel Market award ceremony in London this past November. Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin recently presented the award to Green Mountain Inn’s General Manager Ken Biederman and Innkeeper Patti Clark. The United Kingdom’s leading tour operator to the United States, Virgin Holidays’ awards are based on customer satisfaction surveys and recognize leading properties and travel companies featured in its extensive portfolio.

“We are absolutely thrilled to receive this award,” stated Innkeeper Patti Clark. “Virgin Holidays is a highly respected travel organization known throughout the world so it is truly an honor for the Inn to be recognized as Best Hotel - Snow. It’s a huge vote of confidence in the Inn, our efforts to offer a unique host of vacation options, our staff and the level of service we’re committed to providing to our guests.”

Adds Clark, “Virgin Holidays is known for its motto of, ‘Ask for the world and Virgin Holidays will deliver it to you, exactly the way you want it.’ Their mission statement explains, ‘We’re passionate about creating the best holidays in the whole wide world and dedicated to giving excellent, reliable, trustworthy and fully customer-focused service at every stage of the journey.’ We believe the Inn meets those criteria as it has always been our mission to offer warm Vermont hospitality, gracious accommodations, the best possible service and outstanding attention to detail.”

This historic Green Mountain Inn has been providing rest and respite for guests for over 175 years in the heart of Stowe, Vermont.
