Vermont International Film Festival announces appointment of Orly Yadin as Executive Director

Deb Ellis, President of the Vermont International Film Festival (VTIFF) Board of Directors is excited to announce the appointment of Orly Yadin to the Executive Director position. Yadin’s responsibilities will include fundraising, programming, providing organizational and administrative support and oversight, and ensuring the goals and mission of the festival are met.

"We realize that to sustain the energy created through the success of VTIFF 2011, and to develop our core missions in 2012, we need to appoint a key person who can lead the festival and ensure its ongoing and future relevance to our community,” said Ellis. “We are confident that Orly's background and proven commitment to VTIFF make her the best person for the job."

Formerly from London, England, Yadin came to Vermont 7 years ago and has since been a Burlington resident. Yadin owns an international historical film footage company, Footage Farm Ltd. She has produced documentary and animation films for 25 years, was on the program committee of the UK Jewish Film Festival, and has taught a range of film-related subjects in film schools in England and at Burlington College.

VTIFF is Vermont’s longest running film festival and this year marks its 27th anniversary. The 2012 Vermont International Film Festival will run from Friday, October 19 through Sunday, October 28 at multiple venues around Chittenden County. The festival is best known for featuring groundbreaking and independent films from around the world and Vermont and for the Vermont Filmmakers’ Showcase, the largest juried selection of Vermont-made films.
