Perrigo, a leading pharmaceutical supplier, announced today that Greg Hostetler has been hired as an analytical chemist for the analytical research and development team. In this role, Hostetler will work with scientists in product development and quality assurance to develop new analytical methods for infant formula. Hostetler will be working at Perrigo’s Georgia, Vermont site, previously known as PBM Nutritionals.
In his Ph.D. work, Hostetler analyzed compounds naturally occurring in fruits and vegetables and researched how they can prevent chronic disease. In his new role, he will use those analytical skills to help identify the best ingredients for infant formula and to make sure that the formula has the optimal nutritional composition.
Hostetler earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington, a Master of Science degree from Cornell University and his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Ohio State University. Hostetler is from Mishawaka, Indiana and currently resides in Winooski, Vermont.
