Anne Bijur has returned to Shelburne Farms where she worked in a series of education and outreach roles between 1998 and 2008. Her new title: Communications and Outreach Coordinator for the FEED project.
She succeeds Libby McDonald with responsibility for the FEED website, FaceBook updates, press releases, coordinating publications, strengthening the Farm to School network and generally keeping people in the loop. She will also do grant writing for FEED and general administration.
In her ten years here, Anne began with four years coordinating the Vermont Education for Sustainability Project, cultivating new partnerships, helping to write the Vermont State Standards for sustainability, building the base for Education for Sustainability which morphed into the Sustainable Schools Project. She then developed a Quest after-school program for Burlington schools.
When Anne left three and a half years ago, she was Sustainability Coordinator, analyzing Shelburne Farms’ steps toward the sustainability it has espoused and helping to implement measures that increased energy efficiency and sustainable practices. Since the spring of 2008 she has worked for AllEarth Renewables as their marketing and communications coordinator.
