The Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility is pleased to announce the hiring of Becky Cohen as their new Internship Program & Special Projects Manager. Knowledge of marketing, customer support and business will make her a valuable asset to the VBSR team.
Ms. Cohen joins VBSR from AllEarth Renewables, where she handled customer support and assisted in all other departments as needed. Ms. Cohen worked with VBSR previously when she interned there during the summer of 2010. During her internship she worked on promoting the Buy Local Resource Guide and Coupon Book. She also worked at HRSentry learning the basics of Internet-based marketing.
Ms. Cohen is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where she majored in sociology and minored in business. Ms. Cohen resides in Burlington.
The Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) is a non-profit, statewide business organization with a mission to advance business ethics that value multiple bottom lines – economic, social and environmental. It strives to help members set a high standard for protecting the natural, human and economic environments of the state’s residents, while still remaining profitable.
Founded in 1990 by a group of business people who believed businesses have as much responsibility to workers, communities and the environment as they do to being financially successful, VBSR is the oldest and largest regional association of values-led businesses in the country. It has over 1,200 members, which collectively employ 13% of the state’s workforce.
