Grocers’ Association elects Keyworth Chair

The Vermont Grocers' Association has elected Todd Keyworth of the Harborside Harvest Market as its new Chair. Todd owns the market in North Hero with his wife, Lisa. Also elected were Marcel Marquis of Shaw’s as Vice Chair and Dwight LaFountain of Jiffy Mart as Secretary-Treasurer.

He has been a member of the VGA board of directors since 2007 and has served on various committees including the association’s government affairs committee and executive committee. Todd chaired the 2010 government affairs committee. He is the Fire Warden for the town of North Hero, a position he has held since 2006, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Lake Champlain Islands Chamber of Commerce. This spring that organization named Harborside Market the 2011 Champlain Islands Business of the Year.

In addition, the following people were elected or re-elected to serve on the organization’s board of directors: Eric Allen of Mac’s Markets, Darcy Nutter of Price Chopper Supermarkets, Dave Bouffard of Derby Village Store, Ray Bouffard of Georgia Market, Paul Greenan, Associated Grocers of New England, Joe Cafarelli of HP Hood/Booth Brothers Dairy and Doug Tschorn of the Wayside Country Store in West Arlington, VT.

Darcy Nutter of Price Chopper Supermarkets was also recognized at the meeting for her service as VGA Chairman the past two years. Nutter will continue to serve on the organization's board as past chair.

The Vermont Grocers' Association is a statewide organization representing approximately 680 stores and 245 suppliers to the industry.
