Dr. Deborah Black joins Central Vermont Neurology

Deborah N. Black, MDCM, CPSQ, FRCP(C) recently joined Dr. Jamie Krantz at Central Vermont Neurology, a Central Vermont Medical Center group located in Medical Building A attached to the hospital. (MDCM is the Canadian medical degree. CSPQ stands for Certificate Specialist of the Province of Quebec and FRCP (C) stands for Fellow Royal College of Physicians, Canada.)

Dr. Black did her undergraduate work at Vassar College, received her Masters in Science from McGill University and earned her MDCM at McGill University. Her internship in Internal Medicine was at Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal and she completed her residency in neurology at The Montreal Neurological Institute. She has her neurology certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and board certification in behavioral neurology/neuropsychiatry from the United Council Neurological Subspecialties. She is currently affiliated part-time with the Vermont State Hospital.

Dr. Black is happy to bring her expertise in Alzheimer’s, epilepsy, concussion, traumatic brain injury, dementia and psychiatric disorders to Central Vermont Neurology. “I am also very interested in balance, gait and movement disorders,” noted Dr. Black.
