The board of directors of GNAT-TV is pleased to announce the promotion of Tammie M. Reilly from Director of Operations to Executive Director of our community’s public access television network.
“While this opportunity brought many applications from experienced professionals, even some from outside the U.S., after review of Tammie’s experience, which has included both commercial film production and television production and experience at both the Vermont and Virginia Film Commission, and consideration of her knowledge of and ties to the community, the board unanimously agreed that Tammie was the best choice to fill this role.” said Ken Ax, President of the Board. “We’re extremely pleased to have Tammie in this key position as we work towards making GNAT-TV one of the outstanding public access stations in the region.”
Tammie, a long-time member of the community who is known to many through her previous position at the Manchester and the Mountains Regional Chamber of Commerce, most recently coordinated and directed the “Culinary Experience”, GNAT-TV’s major fundraiser, a gala event held in May and featuring the area’s chefs, food producers, and local artists.
GNAT-TV, the Greater Northshire Access TV network, is a non-profit television station whose mission is to provide a non-commercial mass media outlet where ordinary people can create television content for their community. Current community programming on Channels 15 and 16 includes “Danger Men Cooking”, “Southern Vermont Artscape”, “The Chamber Connection”, and “Q&A Live”. GNAT-TV’s Channel 17 – the government channel - provides coverage of the Manchester, Dorset, and Arlington select board meetings, and features programming on the Vermont Health Reform bill.
