Countering arguments both that there good opportunities for Vermont Youth are not available and that there is not a competent workforce in Vermont, LineSync Architecture in southern Vermont is building its reputation, and garnering national awards, with a staff of local talent.
LineSync Architecture, based in Wilmington, continues to expand a dedicated architecture staff with local talent. Despite challenging times in the Vermont business climate, LineSync Architecture demonstrates there are challenging careers for Vermont’s college graduates and that Vermont has a skilled workforce. The firm focuses on innovative corporate environments and unique homes with an emphasis on green buildings and sustainable building practices.
Brattleboro native Adam Lemire joined the firm after receiving a professional Bachelor of Architecture degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. Dummerston native Sybil Idelkope worked with LineSync Architecture after obtaining her Bachelor of Architecture from University of Colorado - Boulder. Currently a Masters Degree candidate at UMass Amherst, Sybil continues to work part time for the firm.
Putney native Aaron Honsacker received a Bachelor of Sciences in Architecture from Northeastern University in Boston before returning to his home state of Vermont to begin his architectural career.
Berkshire native Leah Decker was a summer intern with LineSync Architecture for two years before fully joining the team after graduating from Hobart and William Smith College in Geneva, New York.
East Dover native Jonathan Soccaccio became interested in architecture while working in construction with his father which included building a few residential designs by LineSync Architecture. After completing his Bachelor of Architecture from Temple University in Philadelphia, he was anxious to return to ski country to pursue both his passions: skiing and architecture.
Summer Intern Scott Bascom is a New Hampshire native, graduate of Keene State College about to complete his Masters’ Degree from Syracuse University School of Architecture.
Winter break and summer Intern Andrew Hicks is a native of Jacksonville, now studying at Vermont Technical College. The most recent addition to the firm is Intern Mike Linnehan, a Whitingham resident who, after two tours in Iraq, is seeking a career change.
Our High School Intern, Dover native and Marlboro resident Harrison Johnson, will be replaced in September with Wilmington native Beau Doucette. Past Summer Interns include Cam MacKugler from Londondonderry as well as Wilmington and Twin Valley High School Interns Bo Crawford, Cam Balch and Scott Hayford.
Principal Architect Joseph Cincotta, owner Julie Lineberger, originally from New York City and Los Angeles, respectively, and two other firm members are the only non natives. Intern Kendrick Waterman, originally from New York City, has lived in West Dover for six years working in construction and has started taking classes at ITT Technical Institute near Albany, NY. Newest team member Donna McDonald, although not local, has been a part time resident of Wilmington for over 20 years. She replaced longtime Office Administrator Wilmington native Connie Hall who recently moved to New York City.
The LineSync Architecture team is filled with award winners. Our focus on environmentally sound, sustainable design led to our newest commission as the Master Plan Architects for Mount Snow's 30 year redevelopment plan.
