Kelliher Samets Volk (KSV), a marketing communications firm with offices in Burlington, Vt., Boston and New York, has named Janine Allo, a seasoned communications executive, to lead the growing agency. Allo will be based at KSV’s Burlington office.
Allo has a rich and varied career that she brought to KSV when she joined the management team as executive brand coach in 2010. A leadership and organizational development consultant with degrees from Cornell University, Harvard University and a doctorate in Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Vermont, she has helped numerous organizations achieve their goals during her more than 20 years of experience in leadership and management.
“At a time when agencies are completely redefining how they work, Janine Allo is the perfect person to lead KSV,” said Linda Kelliher, founder and chief creative officer. “Janine knows what it means to be a true leader, and her background and skills are well-suited to steer KSV forward as the world of marketing is rapidly transforming.”
Prior to joining KSV, Allo directed a series of statewide public-private partnerships, leading organizations with multiple offices and hundreds of employees. Since 2008, Allo has taught in the MBA program at Champlain College. She also has developed and implemented public relations, publications and communications programs for several organizations.
Allo is excited to be diving in to her new responsibilities including working with the senior leadership team to set the direction of the agency, sustaining and building the culture for employees and clients, and managing KSV’s financial, physical and human resources.

Volk has made enormous contributions to the firm’s success since joining in 1985. He will remain a shareholder and consultant, and will continue to work with KSV and its clients on special projects.
