Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene (CMC/DHK) recently named Sandra “Sandie” Phipps, CFRE as Senior Director of Development and Communications, reporting directly to the office of the president.
Phipps replaces Tom Link, who retired in January. “In his years as Administrative Director of Marketing, Development and Community Relations, Tom played a vital role in keeping the health of our community, region and state in the forefront,” said Arthur Nichols, president and CEO. “We are thankful for his leadership and wish him well in his retirement.”
Phipps is a Certified Fund Raising Executive with over 15 years of experience in nonprofit fund development, communications and board governance. She most recently served as the Executive Director of Fund Development forFrisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.H., where she directed and managed fundraising, community relations and volunteer services. While at Frisbie, Phipps worked with the board of trustees to increase community support for the hospital’s care of the greater Rochester region.
Phipps brings an extensive background of accomplishments as a consultant, executive director and fundraiser for numerous nonprofit organizations in the region, the state, and at the national level, including having served as the Executive Director of the American Cetacean Society based in San Pedro, California.
During her twelve years in the Monadnock Region, Phipps served as a founding Board Member and Executive Director of Giving Monadnock, an organization dedicated to helping nonprofits strengthen their fundraising and governance strategies. She also served as Director of Membership and Development for the Harris Center for Conservation Education located inHancock, NH, where she assisted staff and volunteer leadership with their successful building campaign.
