Billie Miles, Saint Michael's College Director of Information Technology, announced today the reorganization of the department, including promotions, and creation of a new position.
“In addition to serving the educational and business needs of the college, the IT department is tackling two major tech projects in the next six months: the rollout of a new operating system and new office suite on all college-owned computers, and the replacement of our current phone system with network-based phones,” Billie Miles, of Burlington explained. Ms. Miles reports to SMC Chief Information Officer Bill Anderson of Colchester.
Incidentally, Saint Michael’s IT, which supports educational technology in the classroom through the campuswide use of eCollege, recently made this program accessible to students on their mobile devices as an app called mSite. The IT group is also involved in a current project to upgrade the college’s website.
