Dale Scantlebury, RN new nurse manager of medical surgical floor at CVCM

Judy Tarr announced that Dale Scantlebury, RN has been hired as the new nurse manager of the medical surgical unit at Central Vermont Medical Center, 2 North and 2 South. Dale clearly has the clinical and managerial experience to take over this very busy unit,” noted CVMC president and CEO Judy Tarr.

Dale was recently employed as a documentation specialist at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. She was teaching doctors how to use the correct wording to get the correct reimbursement for their services from the Medicaid/Medicare system as well as core measurements.

She received her RN degree at CEGEP John Abbott College in St. Anne Bellevue, Montreal. Dale has worked in geriatrics, in nursing homes, in medical surgical departments and in a surgical ICU. She has experience as a nurse manager on the medical surgical floor at Fletcher Allen Health Care.”

Dale relocated back to the east coast to be closer to her family. She chose to work at CVMC because “I wanted out of big trauma hospitals. I wanted to be in a community hospital setting where people know each other and you feel like you make a real difference in the lives of your patients and their families.”
