Student Takes Top Prize in Statewide Poster Contest

Victoria Rheaume, from Fair Haven Union High School, and a student in Stafford Technical Center's Hospitality & Entrepreneurship Program, recently took first place honors for her hand drawn poster in the 1st Annual Statewide Entrepreneurship Education/Literacy Poster Contest-Building Entrepreneurship Education in our schools. Students from many schools/towns around Vermont submitted their original creative drawings/artwork to highlight how and why developing entrepreneurship skills will them now and in the future. Jasmin Sun, also from Fair Haven Union High School and a student in Stafford's Hospitality & Entrepreneurship program, received an honorable mention for her hand drawn poster.

The awards were presented by Governor Peter Shumlin on February 8th as part of Vermont Entrepreneurship Week. The students could not attend the ceremony due to illness so Rutland Town Representative Jim McNeil came to Stafford to give the students their certificates and awards.
