Emily McDonald named Lake Monsters Director of Community Relations and Promotions

Emily McDonald recently joined the Vermont Lake Monsters organization as the Director of Community Relations and Promotions, the New York-Penn League single-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics announced today.

McDonald who currently resides in South Burlington comes to the Lake Monsters after previously working for two other Minor League organizations. She started her career in baseball with the Double-A Binghamton Mets, her hometown team, working with the Promotions staff. McDonald then worked with Ripken Baseball, specifically with the Augusta GreenJackets in Augusta, Georgia, where she was a season seat and group sales Account Executive.

A 2008 graduate of SUNY Oneonta, where she majored in Communications and minored in both Marketing and Public Relations, McDonald's responsibilities with the Lake Monsters include overseeing Champ and player appearances, organizing community events including school and non-profit co ordinations, fulfilling donation requests and creating game day promotions at historic Centennial Field.
