Vermont Family Network (VFN) is pleased to welcome its new President/CEO Pam McCarthy who has served as the Vermont Agency of Human Services (AHS) Field Director in Franklin and Grand Isle Counties since 2004.
McCarthy comes to VFN with a great deal of experience and knowledge of Vermont’s Human Services systems. In her new role at Vermont Family Network, she will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization and its continued growth and success. She will also focus on development and fundraising for the organization.

While working for the state of Vermont, McCarthy was responsible for the quality and integration of AHS programs and services for individuals, children, and families throughout the Franklin/Grand Isle region. Previously, she was the Director of the Family Center of Northwestern Vermont, the parent-child center that serves Franklin and Grand Isle Counties.
McCarthy also served as a Project Director for Franklin County’s Early Childhood Programs and Success by Six. She was responsible for the development of early care and education resources for Vermont public schools in an effort to advance the quality portion of Vermont’s Equal Education Opportunity Act. McCarthy has a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Vermont and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Delaware.
