(RSG Inc., White River Junction, VT)—The RSG board of directors elected Clayton Adams Chief Executive Officer of the company effective January 1, 2011. Mr. Adams was RSG’s Chief Operating Officer and steps into a role that was previously not occupied.
“Over the past eight years, Clay Adams has taken on a number of RSG's most significant challenges, from helping RSG become a 100% ESOP, employee-owned company to expanding RSG’s geographic presence well beyond Vermont’s borders," Tom Adler, RSG’s co-founder and President said. "In each instance, Clay has done far more than manage operations effectively. He has made it both his personal mission and that of RSG to evolve into a modern, strategic organization. Clay’s unique mix of strategic vision, passion and discipline, combined with his intimate understanding of RSG’s technical service offering, make him the right person to become RSG’s first CEO.”
Mr. Adams said: “I am both honored and humbled to serve RSG in this capacity. We have a tremendous group of people who care deeply about the organization, doing good work for our clients and trying to make the world a little better along the way. Our founders deserve a lot of credit for creating a uniquely healthy culture. I look forward to carrying on that tradition.”
Mr. Adams, 39, was appointed Chief Operating Officer of RSG in May of 2002. Prior to joining RSG, Mr. Adams spent several years with Mercer Management Consulting; Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett; and Booz Allen & Hamilton. A graduate of Dartmouth College and the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College, Mr. Adams is also active in the community and is on the boards of Vital Communities and Delta Dental Plan of Vermont. He is also a Corporator for Mascoma Savings Bank.
