Peters of Whitingham and Pierson of Shoreham Elected to Vermont Public

Television Community Council

Olga Peters of Whitingham, Vt., and Paige Pierson of Shoreham, Vt., have

been elected to Vermont Public Television's Community Council, an advisory

group that helps the statewide public television network respond to the

needs and interests of Vermonters.

Peters is a journalist with the Brattleboro Commons, and she has film and TV

production and script development experience in the U.S. and U.K. She

brings Windham County connections, knowledge of local media issues, and

cross-cultural working and living experience to her service on the VPT

panel.

Pierson is communications manager for the Vermont Community Foundation and

has a background in retail marketing. She volunteers with Addison County

Hospice; Shoreham Elementary School Parents, Teachers and Friends; Shoreham

Apple Blossom Derby; Shoreham Village Halloween Celebration; and the

Shoreham Day Festival.

John King, president of Vermont Public Television, said, "We are delighted

to have Olga and Paige on the Community Council. Council members play a

vital role in helping VPT be its best and connect with the people we serve."
