Merchants Bank welcomes Stevan Geiger as Vice President, Business Banking Officer

Bruce Foust, Senior Vice President and Business Banking Manager for Merchants Bank, announced the appointment of Stevan Geiger as a Business Banking Officer.

Mr. Geiger will be serving the business needs of small to mid-sized businesses along the Eastern border of Vermont and into New Hampshire.

“I am excited to add someone with the experience and ability of Steve to our growing Business Banking Group,” expressed Foust. “Having run a successful small business himself and having worked as a Business Banker for many years, Steve brings a unique and valuable set of skills to Merchants Bank. We look forward to the positive impact that Steve’s experience will bring to our business customers.”

Mr. Geiger brings a considerable amount of relevant financial experience to this position.

For over a decade he worked as an Investment Officer for a number of different banks and institutions across Vermont and New England. Most recently, Mr. Geiger was Vice President/Business Banking Officer at Citizens Bank–earning consistent institutional recognition for his loan production and sales activities in Southern Vermont and New Hampshire.

Mr. Geiger currently lives in Quechee, Vermont and has served on various committees for the Vermont Bankers Association. Mr. Geiger earned a BS and completed coursework toward an MBA from Farleigh Dickinson University.
