NBT Bank Vermont Regional President Matt Durkee announced that Jean Lynch has been hired as branch manager of the bank’s Williston Office. In this position, her responsibilities include business development, customer service and branch operations. The Williston Office is scheduled to open this fall in the Tafts Corner Shopping Center on Route 2.

Lynch has 18 years of banking experience. Before joining NBT Bank, she was a branch manager at KeyBank in Williston for six years. She also served as KeyBank’s Vermont representative for its Key4Women program. In this role, she coordinated a variety of resources to help women start or expand their businesses.

“NBT Bank is pleased to welcome Jeannie Lynch as branch manager of our Williston Office,” Durkee said. “Her knowledge of banking and her experience in this market will serve our customers well.” Williston will be the bank’s second location in Vermont, joining a regional office in Burlington.

Lynch, a resident of South Burlington, has completed numerous banking industry courses. She also completed Leadership Champlain, an extensive program that allows participants to gain direct insight into community issues. She is cofounder and coordinator of the Williston chapter of the Women’s Business Owners Network. This organization allows members to develop business management skills and professional contacts.

NBT Bank provides personal banking, asset management and business services. The independent community bank, based in Norwich, N.Y., has 85 offices in upstate New York and one office in Burlington, Vt. NBT Bank’s parent company, NBT Bancorp Inc., had assets of $5.4 billion as of June 30, 2010.
