Kathryn Leech joins Merchant Bank as VP and Corporate Banking Officer for Bennington and Manchester area

Reggie Greene, Senior Vice President, Merchants Bank, announced the appointmentof Kathryn Leech as Vice President and Corporate Banking Officer serving the Bennington County market for Merchants Bank. Kathy will maintain offices at both the Bennington and Manchester branches.

“Kathy is an experienced and skilled lender who is well known in the market, having lived and worked in the Manchester area since 1993,” stated Greene. “Kathy’s understanding of the marketplace and strong ties to the community will add further depth to our presence in the southern region. We feel very fortunate to have her join the Merchants Bank team.”

Kathy comes to Merchants after three years with Chittenden Bank, where she was a commercial lender inBennington and Manchester, managing a large loan portfolio. Prior to working at Chittenden, she was a mortgage originator in Manchester and the Executive Director of the Dorset Education Foundation. In her early career, she was a commercial loan officer at National Westminster Bank in New Jersey; Bank ofNew England in Rhode Island; and Bank of America in California.

Kathy received her B.A. from the University of New Hampshire. She is a Trustee and Finance Committee Member of the Southern Vermont Arts Center and a Board Member of the Bennington County Industrial Corporation.

Mr. Russell traveled to France with his wife Lynn, the Edmundites priests, and college officials to trace the life of St. Edmund, and better understand the commitment and works of the Society of St. Edmund. He currently serves on the board of St. Anne’s Shrine, an Edmundite shrine in Isle La Motte, Vt., and he financially supports Edmundite Campus Ministry programs on campus.
