Chamber’s new Young Professionals Group Lisa Geisweit, Division Manager for Marketing and Customer Service at Burlington Telecom, is to serve on the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce new networking group for young professionals in the Champlain Valley, the BTV YPG.
The newly formed BTV YPG’s mission is to help create a revitalization of the Vermont economy and society based on the principle that people are at the heart of what makes businesses and communities work well. The BTV YPG will create a platform for participants to build relationships, develop professionally, become politically and philanthropically active and contribute to the economic development and high quality living of the Champlain Valley community.
“I am very excited about being a part of this effort,“ stated Geisweit. “Being part of the Steering Committee gives me the opportunity to help young professionals connect in a way that hasn’t previously been available. Community is the basis for moving Burlington forward, and young professionals have a critical role to play in building that community.”
As the Division manager for Marketing and Customer Service at Burlington Telecom, Geisweit is responsible for the management of the Customer Service staff and operation, as well as directing marketing efforts in support of Burlington Telecom’s operational goals including residential and commercial sales. She has extensive experience within the customer service environment and strong Burlington connections. Geisweit is a graduate of the Leadership Champlain program through the Lake Champlain Chamber of Commerce. The program offers participants insight into Burlington community issues through active and team-based learning, networking and exposure to community leaders. She is a graduate of Temple University.
