Travis Van Alstyne has been promoted to the new position of director of web and interactive content at Vermont Public Television. He leads the statewide public television network’s digital media and social networking activities.
John King, president of VPT, said, “While traditional broadcasting is still our best-known service, we are now serving viewers on webcasts, podcasts, video on demand, Facebook, Twitter and other platforms where people can find our content and interact with us.”
Before coming to VPT in 2007 as web developer, Van Alstyne was with WCAX-TV. He is a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design. He lives in Burlington with his wife, Morgan Donohue, and their two Newfoundland dogs.
