Organizing for America (OFA), a project of the Democratic National Committee committed to building on and strengthening the historic grassroots network created during the Obama campaign and helping advance the president's agenda, today announced Jesse Bragg as the Vermont State Director.
"The work we're doing at Organizing for America is unprecedented. I'm thankful to be a part of this effort to maintain and build upon the historic grassroots network of support that brought us victory last November," said Bragg. "Since OFA was formed earlier this year, the president's supporters in Vermont have been active in their communities, working in support of the president's legislative agenda. Right now OFA's supporters are working tirelessly to make their voices heard in their community to ensure that health insurance reform is passed this year."
OFA is committed to building on and strengthening the historic grassroots network created during the campaign and helping advance the president's policy agenda. In recent months OFA has organized over 18,000 events in support of President Obama's efforts to reform America's broken health insurance system, has collected hundreds of thousands of stories emblematic of the struggles Americans face in providing health care for their families, and has collected over one million declarations of support for the president's principles for reform.
Jesse Bragg is a New England native and a graduate of the University of Vermont. In 2008, Bragg served as a Regional Field Director for the Vermont Democratic Party's Coordinated Campaign which worked to help elect Democrats up and down the ballot. After the 2008 general election, Bragg served as the Field Director for Dan Smith, a candidate for Mayor of Burlington. Jesse has also worked for the Human Rights Campaign in New Hampshire.
