Toastmasters of Greater Burlington announces the election of the following members as officers of the chapter’s board of directors:
President - Jamie Magowan of Winooski is a tour development specialist for Notch Above Tours of Colchester. He is also a weekend announcer for 98.9 WOKO, KOOL 105, and WJOY.
Secretary - Christopher Halpin of Essex Junction is an attorney and recent graduate of the Chittenden Central Supervisory Union's Teacher Apprenticeship Program. He has a private law practice and works at Essex High School.
Secretary Assistant - Brad Hays of Burlington is a Special Education worker and Home Companion Services Provider
Treasurer - Terrance Collins of South Hero is a manager within the Operations Support group at General Dynamics Armament and Technical.
Mentorship Coordinator - Don Dempsey of Williston is a Certified Financial Planner and owner of Dempsey Investment Management, a fee-only investment and financial planning business.
VP Education - Jamie Platkin of Burlington is an attorney at the Burlington office of Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC where she practices in the areas of trademark clearance, enforcement and prosecution, and intellectual property agreements and licensing.
Co-VP Public Relations - Joan Denizot of Fairfax owns www.SuperSizedCycles.com, which specializes in bikes for big riders. She also owns Zize Bikes, the only company that makes bicycles built to hold riders up to 550 pounds.
Co-VP Public Relations - Michel Denizot of Fairfax is an IT consultant with IBM in Essex Jct.
VP Membership - Curtis Wheeler of South Burlington is a residential rental property manager, owner of Wheeler Property Management LLC
Sergeant at Arms - Frank Petrosino of South Burlington is an attorney with the Burlington law firm of Paul Frank + Collins where he advises business people in the areas of commercial financing, mergers and acquisitions, business entity formation, taxation, intellectual property protection and licensing, and general commercial law.
