Vermont Grocers' Awards $20,000 In Scholarships

Vermont Grocers' Association is pleased to announce its scholarship winners chosen for the 2009-2010 academic year. Twelve high school graduates were selected to receive grants to be applied to their college education expenses. VGA's Scholarship Program was established to provide financial assistance to promising students to further their education. Funds are raised through a June golf tournament and several events at the organization's fall conference 2009 - 2010 Scholarship Recipients and their affiliated stores/companies.

This is the 20th year the association has presented awards to students who are employed or are a dependent of an employee at a member store/company. The Vermont Grocers' Association is a non-profit association of approximately 680 Vermont food stores and over 250 suppliers to the industry. The organization provides members with a variety of educational and group programs. It is headquartered in Rutland, Vermont.
