Starr Jewell pulls double duty for Therapy Dogs of Vermont, donating her marketing talents and the love of her Bernese Mountain Dog A Vermont native with more than 20 years of experience as a marketing professional, Jewell donates her creative services to this all-volunteer, non-profit organization of well-mannered, sweet-tempered, people-loving dogs and their handlers. The teams visit children in hospitals, the elderly in nursing or retirement homes, and others in need who might gain a little unconditional love, which has been shown to improve the mental and physical well-being of humans of all ages. In 2008, she was appointed to TDV's Board of Directors and now serves as the organization's marketing and communications officer.
