New structural engineering firm, Sellers Treybal Structural Engineers, opens

Greg Sellers, P.E., LEED AP and John Treybal, P.E. have announced the recent opening of their new structural engineering firm, Sellers Treybal Structural Engineers (STS), with their main office in Shelburne and part-time office in Middlebury. Greg and John combine more than 28 years of structural engineering and project management experience on all types of building projects, big and small. Greg, a resident of Middlebury is looking forward to serving the Middlebury and Central Vermont community with their company’s local presence. At his previous employer in Burlington, Greg managed a wide variety of projects with sustainable design as a key component, including new campus buildings at the University of Vermont and Champlain College, along with hotels and multi-family housing projects in Burlington, Hanover, New Hampshire, and Saratoga Springs and Cohoes, New York. John, working at the same engineering firm in Burlington, has extensive experience with Timber Frame and SIP (structural insulated panel) design and engineering in working on numerous projects around the country. In addition to new and existing building design they are excited to offer many other services including feasibility studies, existing building evaluations, seismic evaluations, and consulting services on specialty structures. Greg and John both enjoy volunteering their time outside of the office and are each Board members for their structural engineering and timber frame societies. As a 2012 VBM Rising Star, Greg looks forward to the challenge of venturing out as an entrepreneur and business owner with the other like-minded individuals in his class.
