On October 5, 2013, Denise Palmer, an Ameriprise Financial advisor, hosted a client appreciation event with a unique twist, offering clients the opportunity to work in various community service projects throughout Central Vermont. After dividing into groups that paired personal interests with the needs of the community, clients and staff together completed volunteer activities for three different non-profits: Vermont Historical Society, Central Vermont Humane Society, and Cross Vermont Trail Association (CVTA). CVTA Executive Director, Greg Western commented that:
“The Ameriprise volunteers helped clean up a section of the Cross Vermont Trail in Plainfield. The trail looks in great shape now for the coming season. This sort of regular maintenance is sometimes time consuming – but it goes a lot faster when you get an enthusiastic group like this out there.”
Volunteerism is one way that Financial Advisor, Denise Palmer promotes her practice’s mission. “I believe that we are responsible for creating positive change in the world and I appreciate the opportunity to serve our community with my clients and staff.”
