Gravel & Shea PC, a Burlington, Vermont-based law firm with clients across the U.S., welcomes Leslie A. Cadwell and Jeanne C. Blackmore as shareholders effective January 1, 2013.
Jeanne joined the firm in 2009, focusing her practice on tax and estate planning, probate and trust administration, general business taxation, and supporting renewable energy development. Jeanne’s tax practice serves clients in Vermont and nationally. Jeanne spent more than ten years in Ernst & Young’s National Office tax practice and she holds an LLM in Taxation from the New York University School of Law. She and her husband, Chaz Blackmore, reside in Colchester, Vermont with their two children.

Leslie joined Gravel & Shea as Special Counsel in February 2011 to provide clients with highly specialized knowledge in the fields of energy, public utility law, telecommunications and government affairs. She joined the firm after more than fifteen years of experience as an attorney advising leaders in both the public and private sectors. Leslie served as Vice President and General Counsel for Vermont Electric Power Company, Senior Staff Attorney for the Vermont Supreme Court, and Special Counsel and Director for Telecommunications for the Vermont Department of Public Service. Currently, Leslie and her husband, Ron Rupp, reside in Castleton, Vermont.
