On Wednesday, December 22, 2010, Vaughn Alonzo Carney was appointed to the Board of Directors of NorthCountry Federal Credit Union and David A. Lavallee was appointed to the Supervisory Committee. Both are filling vacant seats.
Carney brings over 35 years of legal experience to the Board of Directors, including time as a Wall Street law firm practitioner, law professor, and counsel to government entities. He is currently the Assistant General Counsel for the Captive Insurance Division of the State of Vermont’s Department of Banking, Insurance, Securities and Health Care Administration. Carney resides in Essex, Vermont.
Lavallee, a resident of Colchester, is President and Owner of Lavallee & Company, a local Certified Public Accounting firm that services over 100 business and 600 individual clients located primarily in Chittenden County. He has also been employed as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of First Brandon National Bank, and as Controller and Vice President of Northfield Savings Bank.
